As we celebrate FinancialEdge Credit Union's 75th anniversary this year, we reflect on the incredible journey we’ve shared with our members since 1950. Over the decades, we have grown, evolved, and adapted to meet the ever-changing needs of our community and members. Our commitment to building meaningful relationships, pursuing excellence in service, and upholding the highest standards of integrity remains as strong today as it was when we first opened our doors. This milestone anniversary is a celebration of where we’ve been, who we are, and where we are headed together.
In keeping with this commitment, we are excited to share news of an important change and new chapter that will help us continue to serve you for the next 75 years and beyond. This year, we will be replacing our branch on Sherman Street with a brand-new, technologically advanced branch just outside of Hampton Township. This new branch will be designed to provide an enhanced member experience, featuring modern conveniences and improved accessibility to better meet the financial needs of all members.
While the decision to relocate our east side branch was not made lightly, we believe this transition will allow us to serve our members more effectively. This new branch will be located on a route more commonly traveled on the east side of Bay City, more specifically, the corner of Center Avenue and Livingston Street, an area that is in close proximity to other conveniences for our members. We understand that having physical branches remains an important part of the member experience, and we are committed to maintaining a welcoming space where members can connect with us in person. The new branch will have a modest footprint, and advanced technologies, reflecting a modern approach to branch banking while still providing the personal, face-to-face service you’ve come to expect from us. This strategic move is part of our long-term vision to ensure that we are well-positioned to serve both current and future members.
We anticipate breaking ground in the spring of this year and completing it around December 2025. As we prepare for this exciting new chapter, we remain focused on fostering the values that have guided us since our founding: Relationships, Excellence, and Integrity. These core values drive everything we do, from providing products and features that best suit the needs of our members to investing in our community and beyond.

New Branch FAQs
The new branch will be located on the corner of Center Avenue and Livingston Street in Bay City, just outside of Hampton Township. It will sit on the lots of the old Long John Silvers and Pizza Hut which are scheduled to be demolished this spring. The new branch will also be on a main road near other conveniences such as Kroger, Meijer, fast food options, and gas stations.
We are anticipating breaking ground in the spring of this year, completing the branch, and opening it around December 2025. When we have an exact date, we will inform our members and update our New Branch webpage.

All new branch updates will be posted on our designated new branch webpage, www.finedgecu.org/NewBranch. We will also be sending out updates through email, our newsletter, and social media to keep everyone up-to-date.
Yes, the new branch will offer drive-thru services via ITMs. What is an ITM you may ask? An ITM is an Interactive Teller Machine, which includes all the same functions as a regular ATM but also can connect you to a teller via live video call during normal business hours. Outside of normal business hours, the live video capability will not be available, but the other typical ATM functions will remain available 24/7/365. We will also be replacing the ATM at our Euclid branch with an ITM around the same time as the new branch opening.
The new branch will have a modest footprint and will be about 2,350 sqft.
The hours of the new branch will be the same as our other branches. Lobby hours will be Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The drive-thru and Communications HUBB hours will be Monday – Thursday 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Friday 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM, and Saturday 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM. There will be an ample amount of parking available at the new branch for members and credit union staff.
Yes, the new branch will be fully wheelchair-accessible and ADA-compliant.
All services that are currently available at our Sherman branch will be available at the new branch. This includes account opening, lending services, a teller area for in-person transactions, notary services, and other miscellaneous member needs. There will also be two ATM/ITM machines available for self-service and live teller transactions.
Walk-in and ITM drive-thru services will be available at the new branch.
The branch manager for the new branch will be Brandie Clayton, who is our existing branch manager for the Sherman location. All other staff that you’ve come to know at our Sherman branch will also remain in their positions but will be located at the new branch.
There will be a grand opening event for the new branch that will allow members to walk through and check out the new branch. Details are still in the process of being finalized. When we have solidified our plans, we will be informing our membership and posting an update on the New Branch webpage.
All our members’ account information is securely stored on our central core system, which can be accessed at any of our branches.
Absolutely! Account access will remain available 24/7/365 through our mobile app, EdgeMobile, and online banking platform, ElectronicEdge. If you haven’t had a chance yet to get signed up for either platform, give us a call at (989) 892-6088 to get started.
After the new branch opens, the Sherman branch will be permanently closed. We are currently assessing options for the building, which may involve selling it.
